Does Huplaso contain heavy metals?
Heavy metals found in Huplaso are present in very small quantities and do not exceed Canadian standards. Also, Huplaso is a product on the Oragnic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) list for use in certified organic agriculture and is not harmful to the environment.
It has also been approved by the Pro-Cert agency according to the Canadian and National standards, as well as by Ecocert according to the Canadian Organic Standards.
What is paramagnetism in Huplaso?
Paramagnetism is the space reaction that has no spontaneous magnetization, and that will develop one under the presence of a magnetic field. This will help different elements having a free electron and that normally do not have magnetism to be paired. A good example is H and O. Hydrogen and oxygen are not magnetic elements but both are missing electrons. With the magnetic field created by Huplaso, the two elements can hook to create H2O (water). This partly explains why Huplaso improves soil water retention.
Is Huplaso organic?
Huplaso is a product on the Oragnic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) list for use in certified organic agriculture. Our product, extracted from a basalt type quarry, is crushed and bagged. No other product is added or used during the process to provide a 100% natural product. According to the chemical definition of the organic term, the minerals should be bonded to a carbon atom. Since Huplaso minerals are oxides that are not carbon-bound, we are technically “inorganic”.
It has also been approved by the Pro-Cert agency according to the Canadian and National standards, as well as by Ecocert according to the Canadian Organic Standards.
What is Huplaso’s pH level and what is the effect on my soil?
Huplaso pH level is about 9.04, representing a pretty basic material. The pH may appear high, but Huplaso only dissolves in the presence of acidity. As a result, it balances the soil’s pH up to a maximum of +/- 6.5, representing the optimum pH for the plants in most crops.
To be able to evaluate the neutralizing power of Huplaso, we asked the Coastal Zones Research Institute to do several tests. Here is their definition and the method used: “Neutralizing power is the ability of a material to neutralize acidity compared to the ability of pure calcium carbonate to do the same work. Since it is a relative value, it is expressed as a percentage of the capacity of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) to neutralize acidity”. (New Brunswick Basalt Powder Added Value: Agro-Ecological and Environmental Assessment, Papa Malick Sall, Agronomist, Soil Doctor and Environment). The Coastal Zones Research Institute has concluded that the neutralizing capacity of Huplaso is 29.7% compared to pure calcium carbonate. Which represents an excellent result for this type of product.
Can too much Huplaso be dangerous?
No, because Huplaso is a 100% natural product that is not chemically modified. It will not harm the environment, nor the plants, even if abundantly placed.
When using Huplaso, can we reduce other fertilizer applications?
As Huplaso has the advantage of having a wide range of macro, micro and trace elements, it does not contain a high concentration of certain macro elements such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). We recommend with the application of Huplaso the addition of products containing nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) as well as potassium (K) according to the needs of the culture. Huplaso has shown improved results when used alone, but will be even more effective when added to your fertilization methods, especially in commercial agriculture.
What differs Huplaso from a fertilizer?
Huplaso comes from a natural volcanic source and contains at least 57 macro, micro and trace elements. Fertilizers frequently seen on the market mainly contain nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) which are macro elements. For the plant to be at the peak of its health and produce at full capacity, it needs a greater variety of micro, macro and trace elements found in Huplaso. Huplaso is also on the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) list for certified organic agriculture use.
It has also been approved by the Pro-Cert agency according to the Canadian and National standards, as well as by Ecocert according to the Canadian Organic Standards.
What is the Huplaso effect on my plants?
Based on our research in collaboration with the Coastal Zones Research Institute and the trials made by different farmers, Huplaso improves the plants health as well as its biomass. At the production level, it increases the quantity as well as the size of the harvest. Also, it greatly enhances the nutritional intake of your harvest, which will improve the taste of food. Huplaso has shown excellent results both in our studies and in the field on several types of plants.
